Three Senators that played pivotal roles in authoring and defending the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA are on a tour of fear, going around to crowds telling them why the US should not reduce military spending.
During a visit to the Fayetteville, NC community college, a man from the crowd asked the to resign. Unfortunately, none of them took up the offer.

Jan Schakowsky, D-IL/Health Subcommitee Member, made an interesting comment at a speech to a question ask about how much we should pay in taxes. I was shocked, but, by now I should not have been, when she answered that we don’t earn our wealth. Our wealth is a privilege granted by the government. She was challenged on that answer. She answered not in as a representative and constituent relationship. She was talking down. Watchout, for our “representatives” who don’t talk to us as representatives, but, are “demading” we, the people, FOLLOW THEIR LEAD. They don’t care to ask us WHAT WE THINK, but, subtly, leading us to be submissive. We should be checking if the Congress is really occupied by people that still believe we in a Republic.
