D.P.

These are challenging times, but with challenge comes opportunity.

We all have the opportunity to take the world stage, in New York, NY, on February 6th, for the continuation Hedges v. Obama, the NDAA lawsuit.  Already, several hundred people are expected to "flood the courthouse", will you be there to lend your support?  A group of 3 Senators has been granted 20 minutes to speak in support of the NDAA at the hearing.  One of them, John McCain, you may remember for his righteous indignation over "enhanced interrogation" tactics during the 2008 presidential campaign.  McCain has given new meaning to the word "hypocrisy" by helping to write the NDAA which places anyone, including American citizens in danger of being subjected to these same interrogation tactics.

Another of the Senators, Lindsey Graham, gave a famous testimony on the floor of the Senate where he threw a fit, telling potential targets of the Federal government to "shut up!", saying they don't "get a lawyer" because they're "enemy combatants". If this doesn't sound like the type of company you like to keep, don't worry, there will be some decent people there too.  Chris Hedges, Daniel Ellsberg, and Noam Chomsky are a few of the plaintiffs in this lawsuit bringing up the Constitutional challenge. They will be joined by Cornel West and many others for a press conference after the hearing that is open to supporters.

Join hundreds of others and voice your support for civil liberties and anger at the NDAA, let's "flood the courthouse":
