George Washington taught us “to protect against the pretenders of patriotism” I believe what he means is to look out against those that lie and say something is patriotic when in reality it’s the complete opposite.

Patriotism isn’t about following the government blindly without questioning as they infringe on your liberty all in the name of “national security.” I mean just look at the Germans. It’s about speaking out against those that violate your rights, as well as holding them responsible to their oaths to the Constitution and remaining free. If we don’t we can only blame ourselves for the government we get, because we the people have the power and can “abolish or alter the government” just like it says in the Declaration of Independence.

The fourth amendment is clear when it says “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable search and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
