An appeals court recently upheld the use of “free speech zones.” These are areas where those that disagree with the message being presented are “allowed” to protest.

The 1st amendment guarantees the right to assemble, period. It also guarantees the right to free speech, and that is not circumstantial. The right to free speech is absolute. According to the U.S. Supreme court, only when that speech will result in immediate and violent action can it beĀ suppressed.
